Card Sharks

My sisters and I enjoy a good game of nerts every once and again. When they were here last week, we got our game on almost all weekend long!

Here's a few photos-you can see how obsessed we were!
The game we played the most was Nerts. You can see on this last picture that we kept a tally sheet of everyone's score. I shall now post the totals:

Benjamin: 338 points, 5 wins

Dena: 861 points, 14 wins

Heather: 601 points, 9 wins

Becky: 531 points, 6 wins

Stacy: 465 points, 6 wins

1st Day in Town

So on the Douglass' first day in town, we headed down to Denver to enjoy the sights! There are so many fun things to see here, we couldn't wait to show everyone around! We saw the giant bear (posted in previous postings), the capitol building, and Coors field! We walked down the 16th street mall and went to the top of the Hyatt for a cool view. It was so much fun!

To top it all off, we got to go to Rodizio's Grill in downtown Denver! This place is probably the Douglass family favorite. Seriously.... it's amazing. I just had to document the occassion. Everyone stuck their heads in for a great group photo!

About two mili-seconds after the shutter snapped, Grandpa starts yelling "Woah, woah, woah!!!" We're all like... Grandpa... what's going on?!?!? Would you like to guess what we found? Let's take a Closer look at the group photo, shall we?
