Wow, what a day! We've been going non-stop since we got up this morning! We had a picnic planned with the Monteath family at 11 and I had to work this morning and make a pasta salad and get together the other picnic goodies. Luckily, we pulled that together and were able to be to the park only 23 minutes late, which for me is not terrible. Sad I know, but I am just a late person. So sue me. Anyway, the park was fun- good food, some of Jo's friends from her ward came to the park too and the kids had fun playing, the boys had fun geocaching, and the ladies chatted, as usual. That and got sunburned! A sunburn in March? Unheard of! Absurd! But it happened! My neck, nose, and arms are proof! Feelin them about now too :) Anyway, after the park, we came home for a little rest and naptime, then at 3:30, we caught the C-Line into Denver to go to Target Tuesday's free night at the Children's Museum. It was a LOT of fun! I recommend it! Even though it was packed, which we expected, there was plenty to do and we didn't have to wait hardly at all to get into stations and activities. It really was so fun. The journey to the museum was quite the experience too. The train isn't very accessible to the museum and with a lot of road work going on right now, we ended up hiking past Invesco Field, up to Speer Blvd, over the river, then back down to the Museum. Took us on about a 2 or 3 mile hike when all was said and done. Luckily, we had our trusty Tinkerbell stroller. The girls enjoyed it and so did we- gave us a chance to work off our jello poke cupcakes from the picnic. We got to see some pretty beautiful and pretty slummy parts of Denver and it was really fun. We decided to cap the night off with a trip to Texas Roadhouse because we were craving their rolls. SO GOOD. It was a good day. Here are some pics :)
