And We're Off!

Today we are going to Boise! I'm so excited to see all the family! I get to see my sister Heather that I haven't seen in over a year and a half! I'm SO SO SO excited!

This is Brook's first trip on a plane and we're excited, yet slightly apprehensive! Hopefully she likes it!!!

Happy 1st Father's Day

I decided to get fancy and make a layered chocolate raspberry cake for Ben's first Father's Day. He's a great dad & we wanted to do something special for him. The cake tasted amazing! We had to have friends over to help us eat it!

Meatloaf

Mashed Potatoes

and....

CORN
PUDDING!

Ben has been raving over corn pudding since his misison, but this is the first time I attempted it- apparently I succeeded; he loved it!

Natural Born Shopper

I keep finding Brook in my purse!

She was definitely born to shop! Seriously everytime I turn around, she is going through my purse, my diaper bag, looking for the charge cards! We do have a fun time shopping as well-- she never seems to get tired of it!

Stolen Photos

Here are a few pictures from the airport when Heather came home- she's so grown up now!

The baby is Brook's cousin Paisli- 27 hours her senior!

She's Home TODAY!

My little sis, Heather Elizabeth Smith, comes home today!

I don't get to be at the airport to see her returning with honor,
She's going to look so awesome in all her valor and majesty!
But I will get to see her soon and that's what keeps me goin. I'm so proud of you Heather! I can't wait to see you!!!

Tiny Town, CO

Do you like trains? How about miniature versions of towns? Well then, you picked the right day to stumble across this post! We went to the cutest little town just 20 minutes from our place in Highlands Ranch, CO. It's been around since 1915 where it was started by a man trying to please his young daughter. There are numerous small buildings: fire stations, jails, barns, shops, a library, a schoolhouse with a tiny school yard, small benches, and the best of all, a 1/6 size train! It operates just like a real train, with steam engine and all! It was pretty fun to see and I would definitely recommend it to the kiddlies! But even adults get to ride on the trains!

We love sales...

This morning we were in Target looking for baby
shower gifts for our friend Susan, when Jolene stumbled across the cutest little swim-set ever! It's nice too because it covers Brooky up! We got it for $3 for both pieces!

Then we found the coat for $4 bucks! Sorry Whit- it's a 3T! I was so shocked it was so cheap! And then I got the 4T jeans for $1.74. Anyways, overall it was a very successful shopping trip!

We LOVE Target Sales!!!

Fruit A-Plenty

So like three of the major grocery chains were competing with each other this week over fruit prices, so I scored some super awesome deals! These pineapples are normally 4.99 each and I got them all for 5 bucks! Anyways, the Douglass family has never had this much fruit in their house at one time, so I had to document it! Plus it's so pretty! Now please excuse me while I go eat it!

I Did It!

For those of you who remember, I actually started this crib bumper approximately one year ago... and it is now finished! About three months too late to use it since she will now just tear it to shreds. But I'm so proud of it! Maybe one day, little Ellie Jane will use it!

Kai and Brook

Kai was trying to surprise Jolene, but ended up surprising Brook-

She couldn't get enough! They have a blast together!

Games with Daddy

Brook and Dad love to make up new games to play-

She adores her daddy!

Now we're Swingin!

Here's Brook's first time in a swing- sorry for the poor quality!

She really did like it, even though she was crying at the end!

Bath Time

Brooky loves taking baths!!! She loves to lay on her back and kick her feet.
But she hates getting her hair washed!

Most of all, she loves taking baths with her buddies!

Brooky, Kai, and their respective Rubber Duckies!

The First

Well, I've been sucked in. I'm only doing this to keep recent pictures available to everyone that doesn't live by me... which is everyone but Jo right now. So enjoy!
