Sewing Is Fun

I made this shirt while I was home for Christmas following this amazing lady's tutorial- it was super simple and really fun to make! I made the skirt out of one of my dad's old button up shirts! I love the color of it! It was a bit of a challenge to get it right and it's still kinda funny, but I like it.
Don't mock my lack of posing skills!
Aunt Jo-ie (pronouced Jo-'E'- affectionately nicknamed by my two girls) and I found these cardigans at JC Penney right after Christmas for a buck each! They were originally $36 (outrageous!) and I actually got them completely for free because I had one of their amazing $10 off of $10 coupons!
They were quite hideous. All onlookers were skeptical that we could ever make them amount to anything. We had a vision though and we could not be deterred!!!

(this pose is for you Whit!!!)
 The after shots:

We think they turned out super cute!!!!
Bloopers:

It was a really fun afternoon! Come over and sew again soon, Aunt Jo-ie!!

I love it all! I have to admit that clothes sewing is daunting to me, but you make it look so good!

Dena you are amazing! I actually made a skirt out of a men's button up shirt just by tying it around my waist, with the arms in a bow (thank you pintrest) but yours looks so good!

Dude - my machine broke right before my trip (ARG!) & so now I'm trying to decide if I want to try to work on it or take it back & get a new one.... frustration! Anyway - your cardigans turned out AWESOME!
